Sunday, September 13
11:30 a.m. Choir Mass
During this Year of Consecrated Life, we are asked to pray for men and women religious who have committed themselves to the growth of the Catholic Church. We will celebrate this Mass on September 13 for all in consecrated life in the Church. The Sisters of Charity-Halifax residing in our parish convent—Sisters Elizabeth Bickar, Carol Buckley, Susan Dean, Frances Gritte, and Maureen Murphy—will be our honorees. The Sisters of Charity-Halifax have provided 90-plus years of service in education in New York and Queens. Providentially we celebrate also this year the 40th Anniversary of the Canonization of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, also a Sister of Charity. —BISHOP PAUL R. SANCHEZ

Litany to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton
September 13 we will also celebrate our parish feast day, which coincides with the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. We remember the religious men and women who labored for this parish, including the sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who originally staffed our school at its founding by Msgr. Joseph McLaughlin. Their goodness and dedication brought many blessings to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs for many years.
We invite members of our lay religious community, their family members and all the faithful to join us for this Day of Prayer with Religious and for the works of service they provide.
