October: Month of the Rosary, Respect Life Month

During October, the month of the rosary, we will pray a public rosary—a living rosary—together. We need 60 people to pray the rosary, with each person representing a bead of the rosary and leading one prayer. Please plan on joining us.

October is also Respect Life Month. We turn our attention to the sanctity of life, with a particular focus on the elderly, sick, and vulnerable members of society. In our church bulletin, you’ll find weekly articles that explore this theme and delve into Church teachings on the dignity of those who are sick, aging, or in vegetative states. Additionally, we invite you to take the handout materials that will be available in the church each week during Respect Life Month, including a Catholic Guide to End-of-Life Decision Making. Take these materials home with you to read and further deepen your understanding of these important topics.

“All men and women enjoy and equal and inviolable dignity. All are loved by God. All have been redeemed by the blood of Christ, who died on the Cross and rose for all. This is the reason why no one can remain indifferent before the lot of our brothers and sisters.”
Pope Francis, January 1, 2014
