A recent op-ed column from Life Issues Forum and the Pro-Life Committee and staff of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) points out that euthanasia and assisted suicide stand in contradiction to the Church’s end-of-life teaching — which emphasizes that our final days are a time to prepare for our eternal destiny. Catholic teaching is always that all life bears God’s image and has inherent dignity.
