In case you missed it, The Tablet’s December 7, 2024, print-only edition featured an inspiring article about Father Passenant and his lifelong dedication to The Tablet’s Bright Christmas Fund. In the piece, he reflects on the generosity instilled in him by his parents, the incredible impact the fund has had ever since it was started in the 1960s, and his gratitude for being part of a parish “with wonderful and generous parishioners who always come through when called upon.”
Last year—and again this year—Father Passenant has challenged us to give generously to a second collection taken for the Bright Christmas Fund, promising to personally match every contribution! On the Immaculate Conception (December 9), our parishioners gave $1,485. With Fr. Passenant’s match (rounded up), the parish donated a total of $3,001 to the fund.
