We want to address concerns about a member of the OLQM Catholic Academy (OLQMCA) community who tested positive for COVID-19 virus—noting that this is an evolving and truly novel situation and information available today (10am, 3/13/20) may change.
On March 11, the academy principal notified school parents of a suspected case of coronavirus. The individual was notified of a positive test result later that same day.
The individual developed symptoms 3 days after the last day (2/26) they were in the OLQMCA building. The individual has not been present in our OLQMCA academy building for more than 2 weeks and at that time they had no symptoms.
On March 12 and 13, the school and church buildings are undergoing a deep cleaning (sanitization with disinfectants) out of an abundance of caution.
