After several years of thoughtful discussion and community fellowship, our Monday evening Through the Word Bible Study program on Zoom will take an indefinite break following the final session on January 6, 2025. For the remaining weeks, the study topic will be reflections on the Sunday readings for Advent and Christmastide.
Although the live Zoom sessions will pause, the collection of Through the Word recordings from 2023 through 2024 remain available as a playlist at YouTube.com/@bktheologian, offering an opportunity to revisit past studies or explore them for the first time.
Our thanks to our study leader, Dr. Joseph Terry, and everyone who has participated and contributed to making these Monday gatherings a meaningful part of our church’s ministry.
Past Study Topics
Each Through the Word study draws from the canon of Scripture, sacred tradition, and the teachings of the fathers and doctors of the Church to bring Christ in the word to you. Topics covered: Journey through the Acts of the Apostles; Reflections on the Holy Spirit; Sunday Reading Reflections (year-long study through the liturgical year); the Eucharist (three-month study on the connection between Scripture and the Catechism to cultivate a deeper affection for our Eucharistic Lord).
