2021 Lent and Easter Guidelines during Pandemic

While the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19 disease appears to be slowing, we will remain vigilant and continue to follow the safety precautions that the parish has been observing at weekly Masses. Masks are required and social distancing should be followed at all services this Lenten and Easter season. Check back for updates.

Lenten Calendar Activities | Holy Week Schedule

Ash Wednesday (February 17)
Masks are worn by clergy and recipients during the distribution of ashes.
Ashes will be distributed at designed service times only.
Ashes will be sprinkled over the crown of the head.

Palm Sunday (March 28, 2021)
Palms branches will be left on tables so that you can take them if you wish to do so, but the solemn blessing and procession with palms will be omitted this year.  The palms will be blessed in the usual way during the Mass. We ask that you do not leave any palms behind in the pews and take them home with you.

Holy Thursday (April 1, 2021)
We will celebrate an additional Mass on Holy Thursday at 12:05PM to avoid overcrowding in church.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be at 7:30PM. The Washing of the Feet will be omitted.

Good Friday (April 2, 2021)
Communal veneration of the Cross will be at 3PM and 7:30PM. At both services, individual Communion will be available upon exit. The performance of the Seven Last Words of Christ is omitted from the 7:30PM liturgy this year.
