100th Anniversary of the Ordination of Most Rev. Francis X. Ford

Bishop Francis Xavier Ford (1946 – 1952) was a Brooklyn-born Maryknoll priest who was appointed bishop of Kaying in northeastern Guangdon Province in China. He engaged in person-to-person evangelization with people in the rural towns and villages. When the communists came to power in China, he was arrested, tortured and ultimately martyred for his faith in Christ.

Our diocese is working to advance the cause of canonization for Bishop Ford of Brooklyn.  All are invited to this Mass to celebrate the centenary of his ordination. The Mass is Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 3 p.m. the diocese at Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph (856 Pacific Street, Brooklyn.
