Worldwide Marriage Encounter
During this time of COVID-19, Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) offers virtual weekends and virtual experiences called Restore-Rekindle-Renew (3RE.) The WWME Experience is for good marriages, to strengthen communication and nurture a deeper appreciation of the Sacrament of Marriage.
WWME stands ready to assist Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in the parish celebration of World Marriage Day, which is traditionally observed the second Sunday in February. Other WWME-related enrichments and activities are held periodically at our parish or nearby in the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens or, at the present time, virtually.
Attend a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Experience
WWME is a movement within the Catholic Church. Traditionally the Experience has been an in-person weekend retreat. Virtual Experiences are now being given that spread the weekend over seven sessions. The Experience is presented by a Catholic priest and three Catholic couples. You receive tools to help restore communication, renew commitment, and rekindle the romance in your marriage. There is a presentation by the presenting team and a question for the participating couples to reflect on privately.
Application fee is $100. For more information or to find an Experience that fits your needs, visit www.bq-wwme.org or call 877-NYS-WWME (697-9963).
