Living Rosary: A May Tradition

UPDATE: Because of inclement weather on May 5, the next Living Rosary has been rescheduled. Join us in witnessing the Living Rosary on

Sunday, May 19, 2024
2 PM
Church Plaza (corner of Ascan Ave & Queens Blvd)

A Living Rosary at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs parish is prayed twice a year: in May (Mary’s month) and October (the month of the rosary). We organize and form a circle in front of the church on Ascan Avenue and pray a public rosary after the last Sunday Mass.

Please gather with our priests and choir members, and bring a friend with you, if you’d like. We require 60 people, with each person representing one bead and leading one prayer of the rosary.

Praying the rosary is a Catholic tradition that honors Mary by reflecting on the events of her life and the gospel stories of Jesus. We also pray the rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet daily (Monday through Saturday) after the 12:05PM Mass.
