On behalf of St. Pius V Church in Jamaica, Queens, and Catholic Charities of Brooklyn/Queens, we are asking for you to help in an IMMEDIATE AND TANGIBLE WAY by donating their requested cooking items, which will be given to St. Pius where they are preparing two hot meals a day (breakfast and lunch) for the migrants in our community.
Bring a bag of groceries to any of the Sunday Masses on June 24/25, 2023. Please limit donations to these essential needs:
- Rice and beans
- Pasta and tomato sauce
- Coffee, sugar, flour, salt, spices
- Jam
- Canned vegetables
Any extra loose money that is taken in the second collection on June 24/25 will also be sent to the kitchen at St. Pius so that they can purchase other fresh foods (meats, milk, and produce) needed for their meal preparations. God bless you for your generosity.
