Mentors Wanted at Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers

Many single-parent households need a little extra support. CBSBB provides one-to-one mentoring services for the city’s neediest Catholic and non-Catholic children, ages 10 to 18.  The program uniquely focuses on strengthening the child’s entire family, while training volunteers on how to be guides to a young person in need. Basic  requirements:  a 1-year commitment to the match relationship and 8 hours a month spent with your mentee. There is a wait list of boys and girls in NYC who are eager for a mentor, so please consider making a gift of your time today!  Contact Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers: 212-475-3291, x502 or volunteers@cbsbb.org. If you are not confident that you can make the commitment of being a mentor, then please spread to your coworkers, alumni groups and other social networks and ask them to contact Ryan Sheppard at 212 475-3291, x203 or rsheppard@cbsbb.org for information about our volunteer recruitment efforts.
