Bishop Robert Brennan asked us to share his Letter to the Faithful of November 3, 2023, with all parishioners so they are aware of his thinking on several important matters to ensure the local Catholic Church in Brooklyn and Queens remains effective and vibrant. These conclusions were not made in a vacuum. As the dean of our Queens 6 area, I have been consulted, along with the other deanery heads, on many of these points. He has also sought input from diocesan lay and clerical advisory committees. Many of you may be aware that many of these directives are already in place. We have implemented programs in collaboration with neighboring parishes, contributing to the broader and more dynamic vision Bishop Brennan is advocating in the Catholic Church of Brooklyn and Queens.
