Worldwide Marriage Encounter
Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) is a movement within the Catholic Church that offers weekend experiences for good marriages, to strengthen communication and nurture a deepened appreciation of the Sacrament of Marriage. WWME also assists Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in sponsoring the annual parish celebration of World Marriage Day, which is traditionally observed the second Sunday in February. Other WWME-related activities are held periodically at our parish or nearby in the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens.
Experience a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend
Weekends are a chance to restore communication, renew commitment and rekindle the romance in your marriage. The $50 registration fee should never be a reason a couple cannot attend. Notify WWME of any couples you know that would like to attend a weekend but cannot afford the registration fee. Weekends are also offered in Spanish and make a unique gift for that special couple you know. Gift certificates are available.
Six Dates for Catholic Couples
Date nights are hosted periodically, at different parishes in the Brooklyn/Queens Diocese. Catholic Couples are introduced to a concept from the book Happy Together: The Catholic Blueprint for a Loving Marriage by John Bosio, have an opportunity to reflect privately on what they’ve heard, then gather for a social activity with other couples.
