One of the most meaningful parts of summer at our parish is learning about the Church’s missionary work and the lives it has transformed. This year’s summer missionary appeal was made by Father Charles Patrick Keeney, a veteran advocate for Catholic missionaries in far-away lands. At the Masses on the weekend of August 22 and 23, he shared stories of the work being done by the Sisters of St. Gemma Galgani in Tanzania. Pray for Sister Flora, her growing ministry in Africa, and all missionaries whose faithful service brings Christ’s love and hope to young people worldwide.
