Christmas Giving Tree

It’s as Easy as 1-2-3 to Participate

And you’ll help brighten the Christmas season for children and teens who could use a little extra love. Here’s how:

1. After any Sunday Mass on November 25/26 weekend, take a gift tag that will identify a child or teen by age.
2. Pop on your elf hat and purchase a shiny new age-appropriate gift for that child or teen (no hand-me-downs, no partially used gift cards).
3. Return your UNWRAPPED gift, with the tag attached, to the drop-off point in church or bring to the rectory during business hours. All gifts should be returned no later than Sunday Masses on December 9/10. Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens will then work its magic, collecting the gifts and delivering them to Santa’s Workshop in time for Christmas!

Additional Tips and Instructions

For teens ages 13-18, consider brand-new gift cards to let them purchase what they need or want.

When returning gifts, attach the original tag. If you weren’t able to take a tag or all the tags are gone, you can still participate. Just purchase a new gift for a child or teen, attach a label marked “Giving Tree Gift,” and bring it UNWRAPPED to the church by the deadline.

Please do not leave gifts in the church vestibule. If the church is closed, you may drop off gifts at the rectory. Gift cards can be put in an envelope marked Giving Tree Gift and left in the rectory mailbox.
