The Feast of the Sacred Heart is celebrated in the Catholic Church on the Friday after Corpus Christi each year. This year, the feast day falls on June 12, 2026.
The day before, on June 11, during their spring 2026 meeting, the US bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in honor of this feast and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The Sacred Heart is a sign of Christ’s love, given freely to all of us. It’s the image found in so many Catholic homes, a reminder that His love is always near, especially in times when we feel tired, divided, or alone.
