A Thanksgiving Message
On behalf of Fathers Passenant, Antonín and Cunningham, I wish to extend to you and your loved ones a sincere wish for a Blessed Thanksgiving.
I pray that it will be a day when you will be able to share time with your family. The Thanksgiving feast has its roots in the history of our country when the Native Americans and the pilgrims shared the bounty of the harvest after a long and difficult winter. The feast is fitting for us as Catholic Christians to celebrate because the spirit of the feast goes to the heart of what it means to be a Christian people—that is, gratitude.
I pray that we will be able to grow in an appreciation of the good gifts which God has given us and that we will continue to share our blessings with the less fortunate. May God continue to watch over you all!—Bishop Paul Sanchez
