Stewardship is Heart Work

At Sunday Masses on May 5/6, 2018, our Stewardship Committee members are available to talk to you about sharing your time, talent and treasure with your parish.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs gives us a unique opportunity to love and serve God. The fact is, without volunteers, OLQM would not be able to offer our various ministries and liturgies. Stewardship is both hard work and heart work because it implies a little bit of sacrifice. Sacrifice might sound a bit too severe or serious a word, but in this day and age, when there’s an “app” for everything and there are so many services available to us, the one thing so hard to give is time.

Could you picture what the Christmas Eve Mass would be without our Altar Servers? How about Easter Sunday Mass? Imagine it without a choir? Thankfully, we have not experienced either … yet.

My fellow parishioners, we have time because we make time. Our Stewardship Committee members will have a volunteer table set up in the Church vestibule to answer your questions and help you fill out a ministry form. Let’s all do the heart work that our Lord so deserves. See what you can do to help.
