May 27 and May 28, 2017 OLQM parishioner Thomas Jorge and 11 others were ordained to the Order of the Diaconate on Saturday, May 27, by Bishop DiMarzio at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. Deacon Tom’s Mass of Thanksgiving was at our parish on Sunday, May 28. Deacon Thomas is now assigned to St. Nicholas of Tolentine in Jamaica, Queens. A great blessing for them — though we hope he returns to visit his home parish OLQM often! Congratulations to Deacon Thomas and his wife Olga.
